A Return to Classics: Black and White

Whenever I get sick of season (cough...winter) I return to the classics.. black and white. The classic combo is always in season and ultra flattering. Luckily, black and white for the Resort and Spring seasons are rich with ornate detail, tailoring, followed by more detail. They aren't your average black and white dresses with underachieving colorblock and average 'graphic' prints. So here are some gorgeous Black and White looks from Resort and Spring lines. Enjoy!
Chanel Resort 2011
Chanel Resort 2011
Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 RTW - Tailored to fit every curve + love those shoes.
Anna Sui Spring 2011 ...anna never dissapoints

Paul and Joe Spring 2011 RTW

L'Wren Scott Spring 2011 - the shoes, emerald earrings, and waved hair complete this look.

Oscar de La Renta Spring 2011 - Sashes work wonders
Dennis Basso Spring 2011

Natalia Vodianova for Etam Fall 2010 Campaign - I have never seen leather look more lovely. This look is so wearable and sooo gorgeous.
Hope one of these inspired you! Have a lovely day everyone!

January Styling Inspiration

Here are six of my favorite winter styling inspirations for January that show you how to keep feminine when its cold using interesting layers and fur.
Ralph Lauren floral Skirt and a belted long sweater. The satchel purse with the gold chain pulls the sweater and skirt together and adds richness to the look.
Ana Zalewska & Karolin Machova for Elle Turkey by Senol Altun
I've never really been much of a fur person but these next two photos have got me looking at faux fur over pastel dress with serious consideration.
Angela Lindvall by Camilla Akran
Alison Arboux for Kurv Magazine by Jonathan Segade
Coco Rocha Elle Italia January 2011
Layering a neutral eyelet or lace sheath over dark skinny jeans is already one of my favorites. Add a plaid scarf and olive jacket mixes boyish with femine for a perfectly styled winter look.
Lily Donaldson for G2000 Fall 2010 Campaign
If you feel like your style is suffering from having to layer remember to mix prints with contrasting colors and textures. Like this check blouse with a gray coat and red vest. It adds dimension to your look and takes away the apperance of 'bulk' to your figure. Add an interesting pin liker her Dolve and Gabbana one and your really set!
Iza Olak by Alan Gelati for Marie Claire Russia January 2011
Have a lovely, warm day everyone!

Style Icon: Georgina Chapman

Oh how I love Georgina Chapman.. As you all probably know she is the talented co-founder of Marchesa, but as someone who finds themselves constantly overdressed I take great inspiration in her personal style and confidence. To say she looks lovely is an understatement, I would classify her more as a modern-day princess..
