Sapphire Rain: the romance of rain in sapphire and gold

Oh lovely raindrops…

Inspired by the lovely rain, here is my newest piece: Sapphire Rain.

Made with teardrop-shaped glass pearls, delicately drapped from a rich gold plated chain; creating the appearance of gently dangling sapphire raindrops.

Can be worn with a cocktail dress for a rich romantic look, feminine dress with a belt, your favorite blouse, or even a grey t-shirt and jeans. Shown here with a J.Crew Painter Tee:

I love the combination of demure grey and rich sapphire and gold. The color scheme reminds me of the painting Late Afternoon Rain by David Farren.

Perfect for evening, or everyday. Stricking over black.

Another one of my favorite photos reflecting the art of rain: Rainy Paris by deadst4r
Both romantic and distant.

High quality Gold plated chain and components, sapphire raindrop-shaped glass pearl;
32 inches long.
Available on etsy for $50.

Another one of my favorite paintings: Bourboun Street by MichaelFlohr

Enoy the rain whenever you can because you shall miss it when its gone. :)

Fall 2009 Favorite Line: Elie Tahari

Elie Tahari's Fall 2009 line is simply gorgeous. Most of the pieces are actually one-piece dresses but create the illusion of high waisted pencil skirts, exotic blouses, colored tights with sheen, fabric belts, and long draping necklaces - there isn't anything about this line that I don't love...

Top 4 Little Black Dresses of Fall 2009

Top 4 Little Black Dress Looks from the Fall 2009 Runway.
Douglas Hannant

Embroidered Polka dot Illusion neckline:
Collette Dinnigan:
A breathtaking take on the illusion neckline with a lace art deco twist. Is it just me or does the material actually glisten?!!Okay so this is really a pencil skirt and a blouse but it has the shock value as a LBD. The beaded shell/clam lapels are swoon-worthy.

All these LBDs are worn with sheer black tights which is a great new pairing for any LBD you already own. Black sheer tights give the dresses a new level of chic.
